My streamyx… up and running

Finally…i can update my blog using my own streamyx in my own sweet home .

All the while I’m updating my blog using internet connection in my office,cyber cafe,my mother in law neighbourhood “FREE” streamyx connection and any other place except my home.

 

Setting up my home wireless connection using Linksys WAG200G Wireless-G ADSL2+ Router is very easy ( after done some googling…of course)

The important thing is,make sure to update VPI/VCI value similar like below. everything else is just a straight forward

 

Hopefully I can blog more often after this.

   Hi there, I also just bought this product yesterday..
   So if you dont mind, can you share the step by step or info setting needed to setup streamyx account into this router modem. As so far, I still fail to get connect to internet with this WAG200G (Can seen my “Internet” LEDs is turn red).

   Hi Alvin, I can’t see my router configuration now so I might be wrong somewhere. I will post the detail later.

   So for now, you have to make sure that ADSL light turn green. I also sampai hafal nama operator that answer my call just to make sure that ADSL turn green. It will take some time If we choose to install ourself, like my case.

   Once ADSL indicator turn green, than you can start configure your router with below steps

   1. Connect your router to your pc with network cabel
   2. Open browser and type http://192.168.1.1 (default id/pwd = admin/admin)
   3. Change connection to ppoea and key in your streamyx id/pwd
   4. Change VPI/VCI with something like below.
   5. Check status - if everyting ok . You can see ip assigned to your router.
   6. Now you Router Internet indicator light should turn green.

   Hope it helps.
