Play rmvb file in ubuntu 8.10 (Intrepid)

1. Install MPlayer using Add/Remove application or just click MPlayer.

2. Download codecs here or just run below command in terminal.

wget http://www.mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/releases/codecs/essential-20071007.tar.bz2

3. Untar bz2 file.

tar -jxvf essential-*.bz2

4. run these command.

cd essential-20071007
sudo mkdir /usr/lib/codecs
sudo cp * /usr/lib/codecs
sudo apt-get install libstdc++5

8. Enjoy.

    saspek blog demo kes ado ajar ubuntu dale ni. kawe nk play fail real player x leh. demo sore jah hok buleh royat ko kawe pasal ni. tq kawe buleh tgk doh cerito naruto. ingat ko mat leh jo ajar, apo set kito jugok. saspek saspek ko demo!

    very good friend and I followed your tutorial was great I use ubuntu 8.10 for the 9.4, I froze the whole system and it was a nuisance, if you know what could be the problem for me because I liked the 9.4 thank you very much for your help.

    I try real one player on Ubuntu 8.10 intrepid, and not work at all!!!!
    But I do what you said, and now I’m watching a rmvb movie XD
