Yoga : Fatwa to be out soon.
PENANG, Oct 29 - The National Fatwa Council will come out with a ruling relating to yoga exercise soon….
PULAU PINANG: Majlis Fatwa Kebangsaan akan mengumumkan keputusan berhubung hukum senaman yoga kepada pengamal senaman itu yang beragama Islam dalam tempoh terdekat ini….
Wow… it’s like a shock for me reading this news.
I had my first yoga class in Oct 2007 last year and happily post about it here. I also post my picture doing Scorpion Pose at Pantai Chenang here.
The truth is, I like yoga very much nowdays. My wife can confirm it 
It’s the only exercise I did after working long hour in from of pc. Even my kids can do some yoga pose. ( baby pose )
I’m not sure how soon is soon they are talking about.one week ? one month ? one year ? Kalau padi katakan padi,tidaklah hamba ternanti-nanti…
If let say, fatwa say it as Haram. I think I need to practise senaman anak harimau added and modifed with some of yoga poses and name it as SenamanSayaSendiri lah pulak.
Some yoga poses mimicked our solat poses. Baby pose (sujud), bend forward pose (ruku’), mountain pose (qiam), hero pose (duduk antara dua sujud). It should be ok lah then I think.
Seriously, I’m eager to know the outcome. I also like to know what are ‘dalil-dalil’ yang digunapakai for menghalalkan or mengaramkan this thing.
Just wait and see lah then.

i x rasa yoga patut diharamkan sbbkan 2 me yg pernah practice yoga x kena baca apa2 mentera pun. i rasa mengarut la kalau kita orang islam yang tahu halal haram nak juga baca mentera 2. even kalau dia org cina pun i confirm xkan baca mentera sbb kita sendiri tak faham apa2.
sebagai org islam mesti kita sayangkan agama kita kita tahu pro and cons. fikirkan la
hi nia, itulah yg i fikir juga. tapi siapalah kita nak mempertikaikan kata mufti/alim ulamak kan.just wait and see lah.eh..bila nak announce ek ?
