How to configure streamyx with WAG200G router

Below are simple layout that I use in my home network. It’s pretty much straight forward.

Once eveything is been setup properly, go to next step.

Before we go ahead to configure the router, first we need to make sure that our streamyx line is activate. Once activated, DSL indicator in router should turn green. Otherwise, contact TM 100,they will be very helpfull to help you.

Steps :

1. Open your browser in pc which is connected to router

2. Connect to http://192.168.1.1 , you will be prompt to enter user name and password.

Default : username = admin, password = admin

3. Change Encapsulation to PPPoE, virtual circuit and PPPoE setting.

4. If everything ok, your can check status to see whether ip address is assigned properly to your router.

5. Enable your wireless connection.

6. Done. enjoy your surfing. :)

      Hi Mie,I’m not very sure the differences between those two setting. As far as I read the discussion on internet,it seems that VC is better than LLC.

      Hai, can you help me, why every ubuntu (7.10/8.04) when i’m installed on my computer can’t connect internet with modem linksys wag200g(mixed mode with wifi), but when i’m try with usually modem like d-link(not have wifi) i can use it for internet.

      Hi Sigit, how do your VPI/VCI look like ? This number will be different depend on your ISP and Country. Try have a look at below site http://kei-kai.blogspot.com/2007/09/mengenai-vpi-dan-vci.html

      or else, just google for VPI/VCI for Indonesian

      Have a try, hopefully it will helps you.
